The new power system is the key to achieving the goal of carbon neutrality. It not only includes the adjustment of the power supply structure to the new energy as the main, but also needs to solve the problems of flexible adjustment, supply and demand matching, etc., which requires the support of a variety of energy storage at the power supply side, the grid side and the user side. Cool storage in building and other user-side is the common energy storage means that users focus on. In the traditional air conditioning system, the system design and operation are mostly carried out according to the peak and valley electricity prices and the demand of building air conditioning load. Under the requirement of new power system construction, what are the new requirements for the cool storage of the building side? Facing the new requirements of user-side energy storage in the new power system and assisting the supply and demand matching adjustment of the power system, how should the design and operation of building side cool storage be carried out? What are the connections and differences between user-side cool storage and power storage? In this paper, the above problems will be discussed in order to provide effective guidance for the construction of new power systems and the reasonable development of user-side cool storage in buildings.
